
Bill Jenkins formed W T Jenkins Ltd in 1971 trading as a general electrical contractor. Registered in 1975, the company was added to local authority tender lists and business expanded from shop fitting to schools and house rewires.
Membership of the NICEIC was gained in 1974 and of the ECA and JIB in 1975 followed by ASLEC membership in 2002.
The Company diversified into street lighting and traffic signage in 1984 during a rejuvenation scheme of the Liverpool Waterfront. Contracts were secured to install floodlighting to the Pier Head Buildings and Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.
Today we provide external lighting and traffic signage installation services for both local authorities and civil contractors ranging in value up to £3million per contract. We have partnered with major contractors on public realm and city beautification schemes as well as providing expertise in specialist areas such as high-mast installations and innovative building lighting.
